What a beautiful picture your words create…and the deeper tenant that music moves the people resonates with this old man too…but the chef’s kiss? The Pride. I Love the image of the Pride Parade, the interaction with the audience, the stoic buildings that cradle our collective history and, perhaps most importantly, how much gratitude is always in fashion and desperately needed in this country today. Thank You.
I am convinced that we, together, can steer this world in a direction of love and cooperation and away from one of fear and competition. We here in Substack can use this platform as a base from which to launch the revolution of love. So I believe - and I am acting on those beliefs.
Thank you very much for the comment, William! It is a great encouragement to fare forth further along these lines. We can transform the world through mindful action. Fifing and drumming (and bugling) is all about transmitting signals through the noise, so I focus on that in all my doings these days.

A pleasure, to be sure. I’m at risk of over-using the term “gratitude” but I am certainly grateful for your comments.
Lovely Hal, thank you for this story and for your message of hope and gratitude! Judi
