Inspiration comes unbidden and the black dog of depression goes out for a walk.
Just now, I was sharing this with my Facebook tribe and thought I’d use it as a writing prompt.:
Admittedly, King Crimson can be an acquired taste, but I love this message and the truth it contains. That said, creatives can get down and I was yesterday which made me scrub my calendar for the week. I need this time to get my bearings in the wake of conversations with family regarding the events that are outside of my control. It’s not too terrible really - just life and I’m fortunate to have a family - and a network of which you all are a very important part. This leads me to my next thought and that is when did we forget that we are all artists - that we manipulate the material of this world to create new and different worlds for us to inhabit? Undoing these teachings is the first step toward remembering.
