Harrowings Returns!
After a winter of discontent, the ongoing project of the Harold B Gill Foundation, LLC resumes
Yes, we have but scratched the surface! To all subscribers, especially the 9 remaining subscribers who have seen fit to support the work, I want to express my gratitude for your forbearance as I am just emerging from a self-imposed crisis. I can only hope to become more regular in this work, as it is of some importance.
Why is it important? That is a fair question but to me, if we fail to dig in deep after scratching the surface, we miss out on leaving for future generations something of value - our experience. The Harold B Gill Foundation, LLC endeavors to dig deeply into the work that was done over the 91 years of my late father’s life. He had dug into the records of Colonial Virginia about as deeply as anyone has, discovering, among other things, the role that the philosopher, John Locke, played in my hometown’s establishment as the capital city of Virginia, for example. (See Legacy of Locke: ‘one good Towne’).
This is no time to look back, however. We must look forward to the work underway and, as always, we have so much to share with all of you! Here’s the future and the seeds we’ll be planting as we move through the months ahead. Spring is in it’s full majesty here in DC and there can be no better time to get out into the field.
Amplification of this signal through the noise of cyberspace will be most appreciated!
"lightly sung, her song is the latch on the morning's door"
Sowing seeds for greener pastures yonder.
