Sure, we’re just scratching the surface here on Harrowings, but I believe all our voices are important. I’m doing what I can to support a large number of the writers who seem to me to have something to say of importance. I have sometimes unsubscribed, but overall, I’m convinced that the network effects are important and I try to amplify the signals that appeal to me through the noise of cyberspace.
We, together, form the media of the future. The mainstream media may as well be dead. So, let’s be the change we want to see in the world. Remember, every cent spent is a vote for the kind of world we are co-creating. Spend mindfully with a view toward what impact our actions will have on the future. Let’s be good ancestors.
Those are some of the main messages that I am attempting to get out there. My subscribers and followers can help with this. We can get back to the land and set our souls free:
I had the privilege of interviewing
on an early edition of the Harrowings Podcast - and she was there at Woodstock helping set up the free kitchen at Woodstock in 1969.Harrowings Podcast - Lisa Law
Today’s attempt to do a Substack Live was not successful but Lisa Law and I were able to catch up over Zoom instead! We’ll keep on working on the polish but Lisa comes through loud and clear. I hope you all enjoy this visit with my good friend and cultural icon. More to come!
You can catch her also on “Trainwreck: Woodstock ‘99” on Netflix.
https://www.netflix.com/title/81280924 as she was there as well, something she touches upon in our interview.
There is a lot being offered here and I am just getting started, having established a regular flow of content just a year ago. Help me help get these signals out and consider being a guest on Harrowings Podcast yourselves!
Here’s my YouTube channel where my Substack Live recordings tend to land:

Loud and Clear!
Click a button, any button and thank you! Without you, we are not us!
Loud and clear, indeed. Your passion for amplifying meaningful voices and curating thoughtful content is genuinely inspiring. Harrowings feels like a breath of fresh air in a media landscape that often forgets its soul. The idea of spending consciously and becoming “good ancestors” is beautifully put, a reminder that our choices ripple far beyond the present moment. Thank you for championing independent thought and for creating a space where stories like Lisa Law’s can be heard and honoured. Looking forward to seeing Harrowings continue to grow and resonate.
